Jack, your analysis is spot on - except for the part you left out.
There is an "official" US, and then there's the real powers that be - the deep state. You appear to be blaming the "official" US, but the real culprit is the deep state.
The deep state powers that be (i.e., the oligarchs, bankgangsters, and corporate CEOs) are the ones who decided to rape, pillage, and plunder the US while we waged all those wars. The official US (the Congress, presidents, etc.) are mere puppets who were bribed to go along or forced out of office if they did not.
The deep state is not going to blame itself for this debacle or allow anyone else to blame it. But they'll be happy to let you (or anyone who wants to) blame their patsy, the US government.
Bottom line - nothing about the deep state changed on January 20, except perhaps the tactics they will use to co-opt or defeat the current president. So ... thank you for your criticism, but don't expect anything to really change.
China is now the designated enemy, and this would have been the case even if Hillary had won.
