The US and the UK are doing much the same thing - putting their healthcare systems on a "pay as you go" basis. Instead of taxing corporations to benefit their citizens, both countries are taxing their citizens to benefit corporations.
When the nation state to market state conversion is complete, there will be NO social safety net.
