Does US Senate Control SCOTUS ???

Obama ad-Dajjal says the US Senate should do its job and confirm his ridiculous Supreme Court appointment(s). You can read about it here:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/17/us/politics/senator-charles-grassley-hearings-supreme-court-nominee.html

What is the constitutional requirement?

US Constitution, Article II, Section 2
... he [the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for ...

So, Mr. President, your job is to nominate and appoint.

The job of the Senate also is twofold:

1. Give their advice, and

2. Give their consent.

They have given you their advice: let the next President nominate Justice Scalia's replacement.

And clearly, it is their prerogative to withhold consent, which they apparently intend to do.

So what's the f-cking problem?
