The Endless War In Afghanistan

The New York Times reports that Obama ad-Dajjal has "secretly" expanded and extended "our" war in Afghanistan:

Our former "constitutional law professor" apparently never read the following:

US constitution, Article I, Section 8

The Congress shall have Power To ...

10: To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

11: To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

12: To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

13: To provide and maintain a Navy;

14: To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

15: To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

16: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; ...

Unfortunately, most members of Congress have not read it either and/or do not understand it.

In the government envisioned by our Founders and authorized in our Constitution, there shall be no endless wars. Since Congress has all war making powers, all wars should be specifically authorized by Congress, and no war should last more than two years. And the military should not be deploying to Iraq (or anywhere else) without Congressional authorization:

We don't need a new Constitution; we need to start following the one we have. That will require impeaching many people who are now in office and reeducating the rest of them, but it must be done if this nation state is to survive.

If you'd like to know more on this subject, I suggest you read these two essays:

Anyone who sucks up to the military and bankgangsters to get elected is not worthy of public office. Unfortunately, that's the only kind of candidate we get any more.
