Are Americans Unwilling To Work ???

Here's a controversial essay by the CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce:

Following his logic, if the US educates foreign students and then encourages them to stay here instead of going back to their countries of origin we'll all be better off.

Good try buddy, but there's a lot more to it than that.

What's the motivation for US students to do better or study for careers that no one wants? If they get replaced by foreign workers, what's the motivation for our kids to do anything at all except play with their cell phones?

What's the motivation for US corporations to keep jobs here when they can create capital here (at our expense) or borrow it from the Federal (sic) Reserve Bank at no cost and move it without penalty anywhere in the world (to maximize their profits and to minimize their taxes)?

A global economy destroys nation states ... period.

Mr. Donohue is promoting the market state concept. And when nation states have been converted to market states and all complete for the same talent in the global marketplace, the winners will be whoever pays that talent the most and taxes them the least.

When that happens, they will build separation walls (like the ones in India and Israel) to keep the starving 99% from bothering the one percent in their enjoyment of the new economy.

Thank you, Mr. Donohue, but I'd prefer a return to the 1960s; before the killing of JFK and the Vietnam War. Give us back the country which World War Two created, get the government off our backs and out of our bedrooms, and we'll do the rest.
