Let's put this in perspective:
The Founders of America were traitors to the oaths they swore to the British crown. Their military revolution created a nation-state which benefited mainly a ruling class of bankgangsters and corporations. The rest of us got table scraps, which were quite substantial since there was an entire continent for the new nation to plunder.
The current rulers of America are traitors to the oaths they swore to preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution. Their political revolution will create a market-state which will benefit mainly a new ruling class of bankgangsters and corporations. The rest of us will get chicken feed, if we get any food at all. The entire continent has already been strip mined, and our crumbling nation may soon lose its ability to plunder the rest of the globe.
The nominal leaders, no matter what the form of government, always are serving the ruling class and not the people. The sooner you get the American fairy tale out of your head, the sooner you'll be able to see what is going on.
This is a mafiocracy, not a democracy.
