Much more than just "an attack on free speech"

Here's the latest from Senator Mitch McConnell:


What is happening in the United States today is MUCH MORE than an attack on free speech. It is a vicious assault on the very concept of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. This is the rich destroying the poor; the powerful ganging up on the weak, the ruling class walking all over the serfs they think they have the right to rule.

If Americans don't FIX this, they haven't earned the right to be a free people. Why are we sending our sons and daughters to Afghanistan to get their legs and genitals blown apart, but not lifting a finger to stop the real enemies of American freedoms right here at home?

President George W. Bush once infamously declared, "They hate our freedoms". By "they" he meant the global ruling class, the tyrants right here at home, Obama ad-Dajjal and his minions, and Hillary the Harpy Clinton.

What do you do when the government becomes the enemy of the people? Here's what Thomas Jefferson suggested:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Does anyone still believe this, or is the Declaration of Independence just a worthless scrap of paper?
