Teaching children to diss the Constitution

Here's the kind of story that should make your blood boil:

http://news.yahoo.com/dad-furious-finding-crayon-written-paper-florida-4th-124614291.html

The Constitution is the only thing holding this country together (albeit loosely these days). If, as this article appears to state, teachers are telling our children that the guarantees in that document are worth giving up for ANYTHING, this country will be gone in a generation.

Of course the people will still be here, but the US as we know it today will soon be gone. If its replacement trades freedom for safety, we'll have neither.

Exactly where did this "I hate America" agenda come from?

By the way, did you notice how Yahoo! handled this story? Look at the title: it's about dad's fury, not about the almost seditious curricula being taught in our schools these days.

I like the part where it says the district and principal were "checking into" what had happened. I can tell you what at this point should happen: that teacher, that principal, and everyone in the chain of command between the two should be fired and deported to a country of their choice which has no constitutional guarantees of freedom. Can you think of a better way for them to practice what they preach?
