Was Abe Lincoln the Apollyon?

Apollo (the sun) brings light. Apollyon (the destroyer of the sun) brings darkness. To ancient peoples Apollyon would have represented a solar eclipse, when the sun and the moon come together. Anyone who brings the sun and moon together, or who brings light and dark together, symbolically represents Apollyon.

When Abe Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, he accomplished two things symbolically:
  • He brought light and dark (white and black) together, and
  • He brought the dead (i.e., the politically dead blacks) to life.

In my view this makes him a candidate for being Apollyon. What happened to him later (being shot by John Wilkes Booth on Good Friday) also makes him a candidate for being the Antichrist. Why?

Booth put him to the test, to see if he could satisfy the following scripture:

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Revelation 13:3 KJV

Had Lincoln survived the deadly wound to his head, he might have been Apollyon; had he risen again on the third day, he might have been the Antichrist.

Another thing that suggests that this interpretation of his significance is correct is the date on which he signed the Emancipation Proclamation – September 22, 1862. Does the date September 22 ring a bell?
  • Eight “witches” executed in Salem, Massachusetts on September 22, 1692
  • Nathan Hale hanged on September 22, 1775
  • Gerald Ford second assassination attempt on September 22, 1975 (200 years to the day after fellow Yale grad Nathan Hale was hanged)

September 22 is the date of the autumnal equinox, and it is a Wiccan Sabbat (holy day) known as Mabon. Did Lincoln select this day for the preliminary issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation by sheer coincidence or because of its spiritual significance?

You decide. Personally, I think he was a devil. That's why America worships him so much: strong delusion.

[By the way, I hate to diminish its value, but the Medal of Honor (established during the Civil War) is in the shape of a pentagram. Is that intentional, or mere coincidence?]
