Yes you are, but no you're not

In the movie The Bourne Legacyone of the government weenies says that what he does is "morally indefensible and absolutely necessary". The self delusion and moral depravity inherent in that statement is at the bottom of what is wrong with America.

Things that are morally indefensible are not only NOT necessary, they should not even be permissible. All they accomplish is to allow the so-called “national security state” to shield the criminality of the one percent as they steal the wealth of this planet from its inhabitants for the benefit of a self-anointed, privileged few.

That we tolerate such people as our rulers is an indication of both our stupidity and our cowardice.

By the way, the human experimentation depicted in the movie is not only possible but likely. A friend of mine used to work at Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. He tells me that they used to bring in experimental "volunteers" by the bus load, but he doesn't remember ever seeing anyone leave. What happened to them? Who knows! Maybe the ICC should send a team to search for their graves.
